I am pretty sure bees are the best, but I also think plants like tomatoes are self pollinating, so there is no need for bugs

Check with a garden center. You should be able to purchase containers with the bees that can pollinate your tomatoes.

Pollination can also be done by hand but it is a lot of work.

The ones that need pollination are the ones that flower to produce ‘fruit’ – like tomatoes and cucumbers.. So you take a clean Q-tip and twist in the open flower – you will see faint pollen marks on it ~ then do All the flowers. I grow tomatoes all winter long and it works quite well in a sunny window or a greenhouse. Good luck!

In a controlled enviroment like a greenhouse the commercial growers have machines that shake thier plants daily releasing pollen for pollination..You can go out daily after a tomatoe plant starts blooming and shake each plant by hand for about 5 seconds gently every day..this will pollinate them..
