Question by kk: What is the cheapest military rate hotel in Disneyworld area?
We’re going to Disney World in Dec. My husband is active duty; we know about the armed forces salute discount. But we are also searching for the cheapest hotel/house. A few years back, we went to one place that was only 30 dollars a night, but I can’t remember what hotel it was. Does anybody know of one of the cheapest places for military?
I know Shades of Green is the military resort, but since it is a resort, it is like 100 dollars a night, which I know is cheap for a resort, but we want dirt cheap.

Disneyland Resort hotels are also offering special room rates for active or retired military personnel. For example, at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, active or retired members of the military and their families may find hotel rooms starting at $ 119 per night during value season, with great savings during other times of the offer period. This offer is available through June 12, 2009, and the number of rooms available at these special rates is limited.

This article should help you book a 4 or 5 star hotel near Disney World at significantly large discount rates. I have used this bidding strategy with priceline to book nice hotels at sometimes 1/2 price:

This may be able to get you a better rate than the military rate. Hope this helps.
