Tomatoes are a great place for you to start. They grow well, there are many varieties for you to choose from and they are delicious!

You can grow many flowers from seed, but roses is not one of them. Look for annual seed packets as any of those will grow well in your greenhouse. Be sure there is plenty of sun and warmth, and of course, water.
Good luck!

I second the idea of tomatoes, but also peppers…..varioius chile peppers if you are a fan.

So many vegetables do better directly seeded: peas, beans, corn. I see various squash plants in containers and wonder……..why? I have no trouble getting those up. Lettuce……maybe. Seed is small so hard to control outside, getting small starts in Jiffy pots helps until you get handy with direct seeding.

How about herbs? Basil is a good herb to begin with, it’s an annual so starts easily. Parsley? Chives?

Flowers…..yeah there a greenhouse might help. Geranium cuttings for example, but you wouldn’t be using Jiffy pots. Marigolds and zinnias do fine direct seeded…..seeds are huge, no problem. At the other end is petunias…..seeds are tiny!!! Best started in pots.
