Question by : Help i have a green house and have been trying to grow several trees from seeds?
my green house tipped over and spilled all of my plants and i found a sprout amongst the dirt that i believe to be an olive sprout, it hadn’t broken the surface though so it had no colour so i picked it up and planted it again with the two leaves all sprouts have above the surface and now the leaves have started turning brown is there anyway to save this sprout? its the only olive sprout that iv found

You could try cutting it back, or maybe just cut the leaves off, to let the plant have it’s best chance

I live in SoCal and bought a portable green house. I’m going to grow some in soil but since I don’t want jiffy pots and greenhouse to be waste what grows best.

Will starting flowers and roses from seed difficult or should I also start flowers in greenhouse? Thanks

Please be detailed this is my first garden and is very important to me. I’m 16 so I got a lot to learn

Tomatoes are a great place for you to start. They grow well, there are many varieties for you to choose from and they are delicious!

You can grow many flowers from seed, but roses is not one of them. Look for annual seed packets as any of those will grow well in your greenhouse. Be sure there is plenty of sun and warmth, and of course, water.

The most important thing is don’t put it in direct afternoon sun unless you want to create an oven. It would be best if you could put it in a location with morning sun. Most plants will do well with 4 to 6 hours of sunlight. You have other things to consider, are you only trying to start seedlings? Are you growing flowers, vegetables? What area of the country are you in. You could get help by doing a search for a Master Gardener. All you need to do is type in your state and Master Gardener to find one. They can tell you what will do well in your area of the country.
Even if you live in a cooler climate, you can grow some really nice flowering plants in a little greenhouse. In the afternoon you should open the door for ventilation if it is one of the really small ones with no windows.
