also the energy is not trapped forever it is absorbed and re-emitted in all directions, as the atmosphere gets denser closer to the surface this occurs more often near the ground the resulting effect is energy out not in although it does slightly insulate.

You forgot that the greenhouse effect has been going on since near the beginning of Earths creation eg: volcanoes give of sulfur which is a greenhouse gas (It should be called the “enhanced” greenhouse effect since we are making it worse NOT creating it. and also most of the atmosphere is nitrogen not CO2 (78% nitrogen) CO2 is only 0.039%. BTW The day after tomorrow is about the El Nino effect mostly which is increased by global warming but that movie is far to exaggerated to be even close.

Unfortunately, this video is a simple propaganda (aka. bullshit), missed out the main greenhouse gases (up to 70% around the oceans), WATER VAPOR. In addition, human activity is responsible for just a fraction of CO2 in the atmosphere. Most of it comes from natural sources like volcanic activity, aerobic respiration and decay all of living organisms. Human activity gives less Co2 than Volcanoes alone.Now, the best part is that CO2 increases due to temperature, not other way around :).

As usual, it is the banks that win on remortgaging loans to upgrade to solar energy. Most people will sell their modified home, and buy someone else’s solar installation debt at interest.
because producing metal and plastic takes more energy than growing/harvesting a tree, also costs alot more money, and building with those materials would be much more difficult and/or not as sturdy
So these houses are still made of a wooden frame. Why not use recycled alloys and polymers?

I work on a lot of green home, but they all need ventilation to make them healthy. Even using a green product like a heat recovery ventilator it will increase the heat load. A gas space heater doesn’t distribution the heat it produces, so every room would need its own heater or they wouldn’t get heat. I going to guess those homes are very uncomfortable and unhealthy. Going green takes money or sacrifice; apparently they choose sacrifice.
say no to subsidizing!!…….call it what it is anouther form of welfare……geesh can our govt stop spending on stuff it has no buisness in? grrr i want a home like that but since me and my wife could not afford to pay the taxes for the subsidizing and buy one too i guess we will have to keep our high bills, keep working, and let someone who works less enjoy the fruits of our labor. gotta love socialism. sorry if i offended anyone im just tired of people worshiping at the alter of green!
