How do i make the best green house effect project in a plastic 2 liter bottle?

Question by diamond: How do i make the best green house effect project in a plastic 2 liter bottle?
this is for my physics class and soo far i have though of putting sand in the bottom with glass and then a mirror and putting a magnifying glass obove it so the heat can refelct and then a screen on the outsude to trap it and foil balls on the inside. So help me out yall!

What are the green house gases that cause the green house effect?

Question by Jazzy C: What are the green house gases that cause the green house effect?
1.) What are the gases that cause the green house effect?

2.) What is the difference between weather and climate?

Best answer:

Answer by B.B Top
mostly carbon dioxide, but there are also other harmful gasses that add to the greenhouse effect. like carborn and lead burned out of oils in 3rd world countries for example.

Climate is more the long-term overall weather patterns experienced in a region. including seasons and environmental changes.

Weather on the otherhand is just the conditions at hand and being experienced at the time, or within a day or week.

does that help a little?

How do we counter the green house effect?

Question by Universe_watcher: How do we counter the green house effect?
Due to the green house effect, global warming will prevail for a long period of time. The rising of the temperature incubates fierce weathers such as typhoons, tornados, and hurricanes, and gradually melts the polar ice-cap. The melted ice leads to a higher sea level and therefore endangers the inhabitability of the shore.

Green-house effect is generally attributed to the large amount of carbon dioxide in air. The carbon dioxide , which is largely the burnt fossil fuel , traps the long-wave light and makes the earth warmer. Agreements have been signed to control the consumption of the fossil fuel.

On the other hand, forests efficiently absorb carbon dioxide. Should other agreements be reached to force people to plant more trees on lands and to immediately stop over-felling around the world?

We don’t need to counter the greenhouse effect. Global warming is caused by the Sun, not by anything that we are doing. and we cannot prevent it. We need to make realistic plans to move our cities inland, not to waste time trying to prevent it.

Attributing global warming to human causes is political hype, exploited by unscrupulous people who want to gain fame without having to do anything to earn it and influence without being responsible to anybody in their use of it.

Q&A: Assume the advertisement about green house effect encourage people to drink fountain instead of bottled water?

Question by dreams: Assume the advertisement about green house effect encourage people to drink fountain instead of bottled water?
1) What will happen to the demand cuve of the bottled water?
2) If the bottled water company such as Aquafina decided to lower the prce for its product, what will happen to the demand curve fot its product, and what will happen to the demand curve for other brands’ bottled water?

Best answer:

Answer by nm
Not assuming but actually fountain is more recommended than bottle water. There is some speculation about bottled water causing cancer.
To answer your question If the awareness grows than
1) The demand curve will have short span decline. Say a few points.
2)If aquafina lowered its product price than maybe sales will increase and the demand curve will incline. Depends how they advertise it and convince the market.

Green house effect and Global Warming

The video describes the phenomenon called Greenhouse Effect. The glass house in the video is a prototype of our atmosphere. The house receives light of different frequencies from the sun. Radiations absorbed by the objects within the glass house are radiated back to the air. As a result heat radiations are trapped within the glass house. This eventually increases the temperature inside the glass house. This kind of house is also called ‘green house’ and hence ‘greenhouse effect’. Similar phenomenon is observed in our atmosphere. Infrared radiations radiated back from the ground to the atmosphere are trapped by molecules like carbon dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, water vapor etc. Thus, our atmospheric temperature rises. Carbon dioxide from the exhaust gases of cars, factories, etc. contributes a lot to the rise in greenhouse effect.
